I think a whole lot of people wanted 2020 to be a year of change – myself included. Though I think the change we got, or at least the way it’s going to come about, is not what was anticipated. Hopefully this whole pandemic will pan out (hah!) and we’ll be able to come out the other side with a renewed view of the world.
One of the changes that I wanted to make this year, is that I wanted to better document and post some of my projects that I’ve been working on (now that I’m not so heavy into writing anymore). I was originally going to post them to Reddit or Imgur (or both) but while that would a cool way to do it, both those platforms seem more temporary. If done correctly the post could make the top of whatever thread it’s posted in, however that seems rather temporary as it’s seen for a while, then fades as new posts flood in, and after that, the only way to see it is to delve deep into the thread or to view it through that person’s profile (if you happen to stumble across them). So, I figured that this format here on WordPress might be a bit more permanent, or at least allow me something more customizable and less temporary than many other social media sites (or maybe I’m just fooling myself).
Either way, I felt it was time to re-tool the blog/site here and give it an update. I changed the “theme” and attempted to clean up the site so it’s simpler and cleaner looking. I updated the About page, the E-books page, and added a new category, Projects. Any posts under the Projects category may end up being picture heavy with a mix of text, so we’ll see how this site theme that I chose from WordPress’ many choices holds up to that.
If not, I’m sure there will be more changes in the future.
