ODST Wall Plaque (Free STL)

Short post. Also something I was forgot to post a while ago, even though I had already posted the STL.

I wanted an ODST wall plaque to go with the M6C SOCOM and M7S SMG replicas that I’d 3D printed and mounted on the wall.

This was a more or less simple make, and I was able to sketch it up, basing it on many of the ODST graphics that can be found online. I did put a decent enough amount of effort into it though to get all the proportions correct, and heck, I even dug deep enough into the internet forums and was able find someone who’d figured out what the font was that Bungie had originally used for the ODST logo. (If anyone is curious, it’s apparently the ‘Denmark’ font.)

Since it was fairly quick to model, I figured I’d put the file up for download. I’ve thought about releasing the other files that I’ve created, but I’m still on the fence about some of the ones that have taken me some time and effort to model. As much as I want to share the files, I’ve read enough about the models people post getting downloaded and then re-posted for sale as someone else’s. There’s also the option of posting them for sale myself for a modest amount. And well, I’m not sure I really ready to deal with any of that. I suppose I could just post them for sale or whatever and ignore any feedback or issues that comes my way, but that just doesn’t feel right to me. I don’t know. It’s something I need to think on more, especially if I want to post anything like the my ODST weapons or Trigun revolver replica that I put a hefty amount of work into.

For now it will probably just be the ODST plaque and a couple others files I don’t feel too worried about releasing onto the internet.

Cat for scale (didn’t have any bananas at the time). The STL file is available for free via Google Drive download under the 3D Models link at the top of the site.
